Short Breaks in Ashford
Ashford lies in the south-east corner of England in the county of Kent. Many visitors come to the town each year in order to enjoy its lively programme of festivals such as the Ashford Rugby Club annual beer festival, the Stour Music Festival, the Ashford Summer Sounds music festival and the Tenterden Folk Festival.
A few miles north of Ashford is Chilham Park, where numerous equestrian services and events are available in 300 acres of parkland. Running and cycling events also take place at Chilham Park. Also close to Ashford is the Belmont Estate at Throwley, with its beautiful 18th century house, orangery, antique art works and outstanding collection of 340 clocks and watches.
Wines, ciders and juices are made in the Ashford area, and tours and tastings are conducted at Biddenden Vineyards, the Chapel Down Winery and at Pawley Farm.
