Conwy
The county borough of Conwy is situated in the northern part of Wales. Conwy is named after the River Conwy which flows through the county. It has a northern coastline on the Irish Sea and its southern regions form a large part of the Snowdonia National Park. There are several large towns in Conwy - the most well-known being Conwy itself, Llandudno and Colwyn Bay. There are also picturesque towns and villages such as Llanwrst and Betws-y-Coed.
Things to see include the nature of the Welsh Mountain Zoo near Colwyn Bay and Pensychnant Nature Reserve, the floral wonders at Bodnant Garden, the Great Orme's impressive rock formations and the medieval splendour of Conwy Castle. There are also plenty of seaside activities to take part in at the coastal resorts of Llandudno and Colwyn Bay.
