Short Breaks in Eastbourne
Eastbourne is a large seaside resort on the East Sussex coast in the south of England. It is well known for the genteel, Victorian architecture of its main sea front and its many excellent, award winning beaches. Eastbourne's beaches have fantastic facilities including restaurants, showers, beach huts, deck chairs, kayak hire and life guard patrols. The town is sheltered by cliffs to the west and therefore has a tendency to enjoy particularly good weather.
There are plenty of entertainments to choose from in Eastbourne, the town having no less than four theatres: The Devonshire Park Theatre, The Congress Theatre, The Winter Garden and The Royal Hippodrome.
To the west of Eastbourne is Beachy Head, the highest, white chalk cliff in the country. There are stunning views from Beachy Head and wide open spaces extend for miles to the west. The area surrounding Beachy Head is now part of The South Downs National Park which is ideal for cycling, walking and horse riding.
