Short Breaks in Fairbourne
The village of Fairbourne is located by the picturesque Barmouth Bay in the Welsh county of Gwynedd.
From the village, visitors can take a trip along the coast on the Fairbourne & Barmouth Narrow Gauge Steam Railway to the Barmouth ferry. From here you can cross the Mawddach estuary to Barmouth.
Fairbourne lies at the edge of the Cader Idris mountain range and is a short drive away from the natural splendours of the Snowdonia National Park. At the nearby village of Friog is the local landmark of the Panteinion Falls.
The village also has a Blue Flag awarded 2-mile stretch of golden sandy beaches and some impressive cliff faces. Out to sea there are many opportunities to take part in water-sports such as windsurfing, canoeing and even water-skiing!
