Short Breaks in Hampton
The suburban area of Hampton is located in the borough of Richmond upon Thames, London. The area is probably most famous for the nearby royal palace at Hampton Court - once owned by Henry VIII in the 16th century - and its famous maze. There are picturesque views along the River Thames' banks of many of Hampton's historic buildings such as Shakespeare's Temple. Also near to Hampton can be found Bushy Park - London's second largest Royal Park - and the town of Kingston.
Not far away from the area are the popular tourist attractions of the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew and the London Wetland Centre. Richmond Park is London's largest park offering stunning views of the many of the city's most famous landmarks as well as its national nature reserve.
