Short Breaks in Portrush
Coleraine
The district of Coleraine is one of Northern Ireland's northernmost districts and has a coast line on the North Atlantic Ocean. Its principal town is unsurprisingly Coleraine. Other smaller towns include Garvagh, the seaside resorts of Portstewart & Portrush and the picturesque village of Kilrea. The district is predominantly rural with the exception of the sand dunes, mountains and cliffs of the northern coastline.
Aside from the beauty of the Coleraine countryside, other attractions in the region include the impressive ruins of Downhill Estate & Mussenden Temple, the traditional thatched cottage of Hezlett House, the staggering cliffside location of the former Dunluce Castle as well as the wide open spaces of the Christie and Somerset Riverside parks.
