West Sussex
West Sussex is a county in the south of England. The geography of the county is shared between the county and its East Sussex neighbour with The Weald and The South Downs stretching across both counties.
The county town is actually the city of Chichester with its Roman origins and historic buildings. Other major towns such as Crawley, Horsham, Heywards Heath and the seaside resorts of Worthing and Bognor Regis are also found in the county.
There are a wealth of castles and stately homes such as Arundel Castle and Goodwood House (with its motor racing circuit) as well as some historic old churches and cathedrals such as the one at Chichester. The Roman past of the county is also in evidence in places such as Fishbourne Roman Palace and the Roman Villa at Bignor.
