West Yorkshire is a county in the Yorkshire and the Humber region of England which comprises most of the historic West Riding of Yorkshire and is situated to the west of the Pennines and the beautiful Calder Valley. As well as a wealth of outdoor pursuits on offer, West Yorkshire has many places to shop and places to eat throughout its major towns and cities such as Bradford, Huddersfield, Halifax, Wakefield and Leeds.

There are also many places to visit in the county. Discover West Yorkshire's past as a major textiles industry at the Armley Mills Industrial Museum, visit the home of literary greats at the Brontë Parsonage Museum in Haworth and walk and take in the natural beauty of Ilkley Moor. For the children, try the Eureka Children's museum in Halifax or view the history of film and television at the impressive National Media Museum in Bradford.
