Merlins Cottage (although more a house) is situated down a quiet private dead end track with magical sea views. It lies in the small coastal hamlet of Trevillick, just a five minute walk across National Trust farm land from the historic town of Tintagel. Merlin's Cottage is large enough to easily accommodate two families with children and all the associated surfing/sailing equipment. Alternatively, it is wonderful for couples wanting to explore the stunning North Cornwall Coastline. The large garden enjoys superb views across Port Isaac Bay to Trevose Head.

Merlin's Cottage, situated down a quiet rural lane, sleeps 8 (4 bedrooms) and was completely refurbished in 2014. The cottage boasts stunning panoramic sea views to Polzeath and beyond and is situated very close to the SW Coast Path. The cottage is a 20 minute (1.2km) walk to Trebarwith Strand surfing beach and a 5 min walk across National Trust farm land to the historic town of Tintagel. For those wishing to access the sailing / surfing amenities of Rock and Polzeath it is just a 20 min drive away down a rural coastal road. For walkers and mountain bikers alike, Bodmin Moor is just six miles away with it’s dramatic tors and breathtaking rural landscapes.

The cottage has been updated with a new kitchen and has an open plan dining room and a lovely sunny conservatory space which is ideal for big family groups. An extra bathroom and a new boiler have been installed downstairs to ensure sufficient bathroom facilities and plenty of hot water for all. With 4 bedrooms, a large garden and plenty of parking space, Merlin's can easily accommodate two families with children and all the associated surfing/sailing equipment. Alternatively, Merlin's is a wonderful retreat for couples wanting to explore the stunning North Cornwall coastline as all 4 bedrooms can be configured as double bedrooms with comfortable king or superking beds and luxurious mattresses.

Upstairs there are 2 double rooms with spectacular sea views, and a third double or twin room with views over beautiful countryside and hills. Downstairs there is a double (or twin) room with en-suite facilities and views of the garden and the sea. The ground floor bedroom has zip and link beds which can be made up as a superking or two 3-foot wide singles. The house also has a high chair and baby cot.

Bed linen, bath mats and one hand towel per bathroom are provided and included in your rental cost. If you would like towels provided as well, we can supply towel bails (bathsheet, hand towel, face cloth) @ £8 per person. There is a charcoal BBQ in the shed.
