
There are plenty of events happening in Somerset over the Easter period for families of all ages. We thought we'd list a few events that may be of interest to you whilst visiting the area

There will also be chance to get crafty at an Easter card marking workshop on Tuesday March 27 and Easter printing workshop on Tuesday April 3.

In the morning children can paint an egg and in the afternoon eggs will be hidden around the zoo for children to find. Children can also paint a wooden egg for the meerkats to find!
Easter fun at East Somerset Railway
When: Friday March 30 – Monday April 2
All children who bring their teddy along get to travel the railway for free, with an accompanying fare paying adult.

Hosting two Family Fun days on Friday March 30th and Saturday March 31st, and we are looking forward to welcoming people to Secret World this Easter. Children can take part in a woodland themed Easter egg hunt, brew up magic potions and paint their own pixie doors.
Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt at Lytes Cary Manor
Follow the clues around the Lytes Cary Manor Estate to earn your Cadbury chocolate treat.
Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt at Barrington Court
Make your way through the orchard and garden at Barrington Court to follow the clues which will eventually lead you to your chocolate reward.
Easter in the Land of Oz, Forde Abbey
When: Friday March 30 – Monday April 2
Journey through the gardens this Easter and put your courage, bravery and compassion and brains to the test and earn some delicious chocolatey treats along the way. But beware! Watch out for the Wicked Witch of the West. She’s rather fond of chocolate herself and not so keen on sharing her treasure!
Peter Rabbit Meet and Greet Day, West Somerset Railway
When: Saturday March 31
Come and see Peter Rabbit™ on Saturday 31st March 2018 at Minehead Railway Station. Peter Rabbit will be making personal appearances at intervals between 10am and 4pm.
When: Monday April 2
Something for everyone - over 100 street stalls, food from around the world, kids activities, a dog show, beer tent, Easter bonnet competition, Town Criers, Morris Men, and music all day.
Easter Trail, Bishop’s Palace in Wells
When: Saturday March 24 - Sunday April 8
The Easter fun starts on Saturday the 24th of March and starts off with an Easter Egg Trail, children can follow clues to find the colourful eggs around the gardens. On Monday 26th March and Monday 2nd April (10:30am-3pm), there will be “Make-it Monday” session involving an array of activities. On Friday 30th March and Friday 6th April (11am-3pm), the Garden team will be holding “Nature Ninjas” sessions in the Community Garden, aimed at getting little ones engaged with nature and gardening.
Glow in the Dark Egg Hunt, Cheddar Caves
When: Saturday March 24 – Sunday April 8
Glow in the dark eggs have appeared in all the nooks and crannies of the mysterious chambers in Gough’s Cave. Children can follow the trail and crack the mystery code to get their reward.
Easter at the Montacute TV Radio Toy Museum
When: Saturday March 24 to Sunday April 8
The Montacute TV Radio Toy Museum will be open from Saturday March 24 to Sunday April 8 with their special family discount offer (two adults and two children for £24.99)
