Holiday Properties in Bude
Popular with surfers and families seeking a traditional seaside holiday, Bude is a small town on the north Cornish coast. There are many clean, sandy beaches in the vicinity of Bude including Summerleaze Beach with its quaint little beach huts and colourful fishing boats, and Crooklets Beach, a favourite for surfers.
Away from the beaches there are many other outdoor pursuits to enjoy. A choice of golf courses is available, among them the Hartland Forest Golf Club, just 10 miles north of Bude and the Bude and North Cornwall Golf Club within Bude itself. There are many local cycle routes taking in beautiful scenery, encompassing both coast and moorland landscapes. Bude itself sits on the National Cycle Network (NCN3) linking with the Tarka Trail and the Camel Trail. Adventurous off-road cycle tracks can be found at Stowe Woods, Cookworthy Forest and Tamar Lakes.
For a more gentle day out, there are many historic sites and gardens to choose from in the area. North of Bude is the Hartland Abbey and Gardens, located in a delightful valley in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Its peacocks, guinea fowl, black sheep and donkeys are a clear favourite with visiting children.
