Holiday Properties in Newark-on-Trent

Nottinghamshire, a county in the East Midlands of England is probably most famous for its association with the legends of Robin Hood. It is also well known for the River Trent which flows through the county. The county town is traditionally Nottingham, a city built on its once world famous lace industry. Other towns include Mansfield, Newark-on-Trent, Southwell, Sutton-in-Ashfield and Worksop.

To the west of the county are the Pennine Hills and to the south west, the legendary oak woodland of Sherwood Forest.

Other places of interest include the country parks at Clumber and Rufford, the Norman splendour of Southwell Minster, the stately grandeur of Newstead Abbey and the historical Nottingham Castle. Or you could have a pint at one of the oldest drinking establishments in England - 'Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem'.
