Barn Holidays in Burton upon Trent
Staffordshire is a county in the West Midlands region of England. It is well known for its production of pottery and ceramics - several of the world's largest pottery manufacturers are based here - and the area is often known as 'The Potteries'. The largest city is Stoke-on-Trent and other notable towns include Stafford, Burton upon Trent, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Tamworth.
Though largely a flat county, the Staffordshire Moorlands can be found to the north and, to the south, Cannock Chase, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Part of the National Forest also lies within its borders.
There are plenty of places to visit in the area such as the cathedral city of Lichfield, the Gladstone Pottery Museum or the National Memorial Arboretum and the nearby Croxall Lakes nature reserve. Alternatively, you can take a short train trip on the Foxfield or Chasewater railways or a rollercoaster ride at a theme park such as Alton Towers or Drayton Manor!Read More...
