The Perch, New Polzeath

The Perch is a delightful modern studio (sleeps 2-3) overlooking Baby Bay Beach in New Polzeath with a spacious luxury wetroom, kitchenette, amazing sea & beach views, private terrace, parking and shared gardens . Enjoy the instant access to beach and surf, with the private path that connects directly to the coastal path leading to Baby Bay beach, part of Polzeath beach at low tide. The Bohemian village of Polzeath with its shops, restuarants, cafes and surf hire/schools is just a short walk across the beach.

The Perch is aptly named for its poised position above Baby Bay - one of North Cornwall's secret spots. The Perch is a retreat from the hustle and bustle of neighbouring coastal destinations and boasts a bird's eye view down to sheltered Baby Bay Beach and across the sands to the dense dramatic cliffs dissected only by the path to Pentire Point. This holiday home is tucked away on a private lane to the beach serving just 6 homes. 

The direct route to the beach is at the bottom of the garden ... pack a picnic, slip on your flip-flops and it's a sixty-second stroll to peaceful, family friendly Baby Bay - or lace up your walking boots and embark on a section of the North Cornwall Coastal Path as delightfully depicted by Raynor Winn in her best selling book, The Salt Path.... rumoured to soon be released as a film. Pre book a private or communal session at the Sauna by the Sea cabin at the far end of Baby Bay followed by the luxxury of a swim in the ocean to cool you down.

Turn left from The Perch and you'll pass a Doc Martin TV series location, as featured in the 2022 season. Just a few minutes walk and you are on a sandy Polzeath Beach, at the mouth of the River Camel, where the surf is exxellent and dolphins are frequently spotted. The wide exxpanse of clean beach is a mecca for water sports as well as a haven for meditation and yoga, in the quieter coves.

Polzeath is renowed for its glorious sunsets which are best viewed with a sundowner on the private terrace outside The Perch ! 

While away the evenings at the Atlantic Grill & Bar a few steps away in New Polzeath, find a beach-side bar or restaurant in Polzeath, Rock, Port Isaac or Padstow, or cook and entertain at our built-in BBQ situated in 'The Crescent' on the lawn outside The Perch . There is an 8-person dining table and comfortable Adirondack-style chairs. Its equipped with cooking tools (coals can be purchased locally) and available to guests staying in The Perch and the adjacent Rockside Studio.... share it amongst yourselves.

Beds can be configured as 1 superking, or as 2 singles + 1 extra single z bed if required.

The Perch has fast wifi and a Nespresso Vertuo Coffee Machine (please bring your own Vertuo capsules) a slimline dishwasher & full size fridge .

If you need 2 bedrooms you could consider renting Rockside Studio as well, The Perch and Rockside Studio rented together sleep 4-7 

Up to 2 well behaved small dogs with their own bed will be welcomed for a fee of £30 per week. In 2024, Dogs are only allowed on Polzeath Beach & Baby Bay Beach for 24 hours a day from Sept 30 - May 15 and from 6pm -10am only in the summer months [May 15- Sept 30], but all coast paths and other local beaches are dog friendly 24 hours all year.Linen and towels are supplied for 1 superking or 2 single beds. If you require the z bed there is an additional charge. 

There are now 4 EV chargers in the Council car park in New Polzeath, which is right behind The Perch
