The Cowshed

This is the most heavily beamed of the three cottages as it was the older part of the conversion. It is a little smaller than the other two but just as beautiful and perfect for families or couples.

The Cowshed is at the north end of the three beautiful cottages and is ideal for families, couples or business stays.

The cottage is the oldest of the three and is heavily beamed with vaulted ceilings.

There is a cosy living area with a well equipped kitchen.

There are two bedrooms - one with a king size bed, television, dressing table and built in wardrobe. A hairdryer is provided. The second bedroom has twin beds, wardrobe and dressing table. (Unfortunately a travel cot will not fit in either bedroom).

The bathroom has a bath as well as a shower and a heated towel rail.

This cottage is ideal for families, couples or business stays. Despite being on an arable working farm you are likely to see horses and chickens around and about! On a warm day, while sipping a glass of wine, you can enjoy the stunning valley views from your own patio.

The entire farm, as well as the three cottages are heated using a biomass boiler and solar panels used to provide the electricity.

Being situated in the beautiful Essex country side, there are a number of great pubs that are distance away. Whether you are looking for something cultural, child friendly, sporting or even just a walk to a pub, please have a look in our “Things to Do” section which lists several different activities in the area.

1.5 hours from Central London, 40 minutes from Central Cambridge and only 13 miles from Stansted Airport, The Cowshed is a very handy location if you need to get to an early business meeting in Cambridge or catch an early flight.
